Guenthner Physical Therapy offers fitness evaluations for those who want to improve their level of fitness. During this evaluation, a physical therapist will evaluate your posture, coordination, balance, agility, flexibility, core strength and cardiovascular level. You will work with the therapist to come up with a plan you can follow on your own for a healthy lifestyle!
Kristin Kurty, our PTA at Guenthner Physical Therapy, was certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis in 2016. Tai Chi combines gentle movements and slow breathing to focus on the integration of mind and body. The focus on slow movements increase strength and help to improve flexibility and balance.
For participants in past classes, you can find videos of what you learned below.
Guenthner Physical Therapy has held two, 12 week balance class sessions at Green Township senior center. This class focuses on strengthening and working muscles used in everyday balance activities. This class can be done in sitting or standing. Due to the amount of positive feedback from the participants, we are starting our third balance class session in January! The dates and times will be announced shortly.
